Our Research Approach
AgeGene builds rankings from publicly available product data: ingredient labels, formulation details, product dimensions, price, star ratings and verified purchase counts. Editors review this data to identify patterns, highlight noteworthy actives and translate technical formulation information into plain language. We do not conduct laboratory testing or clinical trials on any product.
No Medical Claims
AgeGene content is informational, not medical. We do not claim that any product cures, treats or reverses aging, wrinkles or any skin condition. When we describe what a product targets, we use language tied to appearance, such as 'may support the look of firmer skin' or 'targets the appearance of fine lines.' Readers with skin concerns should consult a licensed dermatologist.
Accuracy and Corrections
We make reasonable efforts to keep ingredient lists, prices and ratings current. Product data on Amazon changes frequently, and some details on AgeGene may lag behind the live listing. If you find an error, email hello@agegene.com with the page URL and the specific detail. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly and significant corrections are noted on the affected page.
Independence from Brands
Editorial decisions at AgeGene are made independently of brand relationships, affiliate programs or advertising. No product earns a ranking position through payment, free samples or brand outreach. Editors may receive unsolicited product submissions, which are reviewed using the same criteria applied to all products and are just as likely to be excluded as included.
Content Updates
We review our top-ranked product lists on a rolling basis as new products enter the market and existing products accumulate additional reviews. Pages carry a publication date and, where content has changed substantially, a revised date. Legacy content that no longer reflects current market conditions is either updated or removed rather than left in place.
